Gengar (Joker) – Pokémon Old Maid Playing Cards 2019 (Japanese) – CGC Pristine 10

Gengar is the joker of ポケモンババ抜き, the Pokémon Center Old Maid deck released in Japan on 11 May 2019. The card says so in print, このカードが「ババ」です, this card is the Old Maid, and adds that whoever holds it at the end of the game loses. Gengar grins with its tongue out and arms spread on a red card under ゲ〜ンガ〜!, the cry a player has to call out on drawing it. The 2023 follow-up deck, ポケモンババ抜き スーパーハイテンション, made Koffing the joker instead, so Gengar is the joker of the 2019 deck and not the 2023 one.

A playing card, not a Pokémon TCG card: no HP, no attacks, no collector number. The CGC label records it as Pokémon Playing Cards (2019) JPN, Old Maid, and the back is the red ポケモンババ抜き back of the 2019 deck. More on why non-TCG cards like this get graded.
